RV park just down the road!

Getting an Idea to Come Alive Building an RV park was never a #1 priority on our list.

Growing up I have always enjoyed going down to our River property that my dad farmed for many years, and enjoying everything that it had to offer. The open landscapes, the dense forest, sandy river banks, wildlife everywhere you looked. It is such a beautiful, and serene place. It wasn’t until we started sharing it with others who either came down for snowshoe events we held down there, people asking for permission to hunt, or the fact that it is a perfect pull out point on the water for those wanting to paddle down from town… it was then that we realized the potential it had to be something great. Ideally located only 10 short minutes from the town of Athabasca, within minutes you can go shopping and explore out downtown core, check out the multiplex or take in a round of golf. In any direction you can come across many lakes perfect for boating and fishing. But the most amazing feature of the property is the fact that it is right on the Athabasca River. Whether you want to boat, swim, paddle, or fish you can do it all at our newly developed park. Our vision has been to build a 52 site RV Park, and it’s a work in progress. Our sites are currently un-serviced but we have many plans and ideas, and take feedback from our visitors seriously. It’s quaint and off grid kind of camping, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but there are still plenty of campers who prefer that. The trade-off is large sites that seasonal campers can make their own and over 100 acres to explore, and convenient jet boat parking. We feel that we created a community setting for our visitors where they can explore the property, plant and harvest from our community garden, peddle boat around the trout pond, visit with fellow neighbors, and just have a place to get away and explore the great outdoors!
